I love this book. It carefully and cogently, with references and specifics, explains how much of what popular culture says about the "science" of gender differences is no such thing. Rather its sloppy and innacurate popularizations of studies, some incorrectly reported and some actually sloppy and inaccurate in themselves. The whole mess because people are comfortable with having their preconceptions reinforced and so aren't demanding much in the way of rigor or standards. Basically most of it is junk, but its junk that tells people what they want to hear.
I'm a big damn fan of intellectual rigor and so this makes me happy.
